Trainee Journalism Internships – 1-3 hours per week – flexible hours
Deepstack Media are offering a trainee journalism internship to students with an interest in sports betting or gambling. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the world of online publishing and journalism. Previous students who have enjoyed internships with us have gone on to secure jobs ranging from journalism to working in marketing with online betting companies. This opportunity allows you to get fantastic exposure as well as learn aspects relating to online publication from a small but dynamic marketing agency.
This is a work from home position, allowing potential candidates to work in their own time around their studies and other commitments. We are looking for reliable people, who are committed to developing their careers and making a name for themselves in journalism.
Candidates should have an interest and passion for sport, ideally with a good knowledge of betting concepts and odds. We are interested to hear from anyone with a passion for sports, ideally you should be able to cover a couple of sports in depth.
Articles will be published on a network of gambling sites, providing great exposure for the chosen candidate(s) – a specific journalist profile including picture would be set up for the successful candidate allowing them to demonstrate their work to future employees. The articles should be a blend of intriguing headlines with bold statements/opinion and combined with solid facts/stats to support arguments.
Person specification
The successful candidate should either be studying towards a journalism degree, or a discipline related to online media, Marketing, PR or technology.
It is essential the candidate has a passion for sports.
A high standard of written English is required with a minimum grade B at GCSE for English Language.
Experience of writing for print publications or websites would be an advantage, as would a knowledge or understanding of football betting.
